How do you slice potatoes for french fries?

There are lots of different ways to slice potatoes for french fries.  Steak fries are thick and fat. If you want smaller thinner french fries..just cut them thinner.

Wash a few potatoes and cut up to about 1/4 inch thick.  Remember nothing needs to be perfect.   I don’t even peel them.  However you can if you want. Spread them out evenly in one layer on a large cookie sheet.
