How to Make Easy Homemade Tostada Bowls
You can use any kind of tortillas that you like. There are so many different kinds! You can use corn or flour tortillas for your tostadas…corn will be a little stiffer.
What you need to make Homemade Tostada Bowls:
All you need is a muffin tin. For smaller Tostada Bowls, use the smaller tortillas (taco size) If you want more giant bowls, use the larger tortillas (burrito size).
Ingredients:
- 6 Tortillas
- Cooking Spray
Directions:
Turn Muffin Tin upside down.
Place Tortillas in between muffin bumps…
You can fit 3 large tortillas in a 12-hole muffin tin, as shown above.
Once in place, lightly spray your tortillas with cooking spray.
Bake in low temp oven 300 for about 15-20 minutes…WATCH CAREFULLY so they don’t burn.
Remove from oven and turn off the heat.
Depending on how many you are making you’ll need to make these in batches. Or use more muffin tins.
Yummy tips:
Just before serving & filling, put Homemade Tostada Bowls back into the cooling oven for a few minutes…
This will make them nice and crispy and ready to fill!
You can spray them with a little cooking spray and sprinkle cinnamon and sugar and use them for ice cream bowls as well! YUM!
Fill your Homemade Tostada Bowls with Taco Salad! You could use this yummy Crockpot Carne Asada too!
