The Competition is too Great So I Quit!
No…. not my Writing and Blogging..no way! Gotcha for a minute there didn’t I?! Sorry I had to joke around a little because honestly..the competition really was too great..so I decided to quit! To quit competing that is!
In the last few days we have been going through a bit of a trial at our house…we have acquired some new house guests…some family. That is including 2 of my sweet grand kids…
I can’t go into details without dishonoring and sharing others peoples “stuff” and that is not what my blog is all about…
But…
I can tell you that the competition that I felt was the need to keep up with another Grandma…a Disneyland Grandma. The moment of feeling totally inadequate only lasted a very short minute or two, before God reminded me that I’m just me and that’s just the way He wants me to be..
I was happy that my heart was right with God..because believe or not I was confronted by this very thing only hours later by the Disneyland Mom…eeeekk I was blessed to be able to stand firm in my beliefs and not feel offended because after all…it’s all about being comfortable with who God created us to be and then being able to love others…not in our strength anyway..but from our weakness.
So how about you? Are you comfortable with who you are? Are you striving to be someone or something you are not?
We don’t need to compete with others..maybe your situation is totally different … But I know for sure that there is only one you and you are perfect the way you are…
Let’s just tell ourselves one more time…LOL
