If there is one thing I know for sure, it’s that God desires to speak to us. He desires a real and true relationship with us.
Sometimes however we think that we don’t need to hear from God. We think we have the answers, I mean we’ve been walking with the Lord long enough to know right?!
Our pride can get in the way of truly wanting hear from God and submitting to God.
It is ever so important to come before the Lord with a humble heart to seek His will and His heart, not our own. Of course we have things WE want to talk to God about and that is perfectly ok, but first as we enter into His presence, let’s just stop and fall at our Saviors feet and be ever so thankful for life and salvation.
Before we lay our requests before His feet…Let’s worship His feet. They walked to the cross for us.
James 4:6
“But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble”
1 Peter 5:6 “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.”
If you are harboring a little pride in your heart, let’s lay it down at the foot of the cross shall we? It’s a burden too heavy to bear and we don’t want to miss the blessing that comes from being humble in heart.
