Easy S’mores Kabobs on Skewers
I created these yummy Easy S’mores Kabobs on Skewers because it’s so hot outside that we didn’t want to build a fire! This is a great kids recipe that can be made in about 10 minutes! Easier than cakes pops, perfect for a party! I love to save money by making Fun Healthy Snacks for Kids That are Cheap!
You can make so many snack foods without spending a bundle and they are more healthy too.
Here’s the thing about this hot weather and S’mores, it doesn’t take much before a burn ban is put into place in our area because we have so much fuel for fires with all of our beautiful foliage and Evergreens! So what if we want to have some S’mores made over the fire pit..even though it’s too hot? Not happening.
I was so excited to create this super simple S’mores Kabob recipe that can be made in about 10 min. (depending if the kids help…LOL)
Easy S’mores Kabobs on Skewers
Ingredients:
- Chocolate Bars for Smores
- Graham Cracker Squares
- Marshmallows ~ try different flavors!
- 2 Tbls. of Cooking Shortening
- Smore Skewers
What Sticks to Use for S’mores?
Wood Skewers in my opinion are the best…especially for this recipe! They are also the cheapest! You can buy a big package of wood skewers for just a few dollars! Metal skewers are not kid friendly. With wood skewers you can cut the sharp end off and feel confident the kids will be safe when eating their S’more Kabobs.
Directions:
Ready, Set, GO!
Crush your Graham Crackers either in a blender or in a plastic bag.

I like to quickly blend my crackers in my Ninja Blender…so easy! If you don’t have a little blender you can pull out to do quick little chopping jobs when you are cooking…treat yourself! It will making cooking MUCH more enjoyable!
If you do not have a blender, simply put your Graham Crackers into a plastic bag and crush…I used to use a rolling pin for this.
Place the Graham Cracker crumbs into a shallow dish.
How do You Melt Chocolate for S’mores:
Place your Chocolate and Shortening into a another shallow dish. Microwave 30 seconds at a time until melted.
CAUTION: Chocolate can burn easily…so go seconds at a time.
Slide Marshmallows onto s mores skewers
This is an optional step, Cut the tops off…of the s’mores kabobs. I use Kitchen Shears for this…another time saving utensil for the kitchen!
I’m a little cautious but I don’t want anyone to get poked…like little kids!
Roll the Marshmallow Kabobs in the melted Chocolate
Then roll them in Graham Cracker crumbs and place on a Cookie Sheet that has been sprinkled with crumbs or has wax or parchment paper so the smore skewers won’t stick to the cookie sheet.
IMPORTANT:
If serving right away put into the freezer for about 3 min. If you are serving later DO NOT put into the freezer as this makes the Marshmallows as hard as a rock! Put into the refrigerator until you are ready to serve.
These turned out so refreshing and deelish! No fire needed…just a little ol microwave.
YUM! No matter what the weather is like, any day is a S’mores Kabobs Day!
PIN FOR LATER!!

S’more PLEASE!

Have a blessed day! o

How cute is this?? We are going camping tomorrow and I was just trying to find some fun alternatives to smores since we have a burn ban. These are perfect and the kids will love it. We will have a propane stove to melt the chocolate. Thanks for the idea!
So fun Kim! That sounds like a perfect idea for when you are camping! Have fun!
These will be fun to make in the winter with the grandkids. Thanks
What a fun treat idea! Thanks so much for sharing your yummy recipe on the Monday Funday Party!
I am so so happy I followed a trail here from another blog. I landed here to read about linkups but stumbling across this and it’s the true gem. Just 2 hours ago I was having a conversation about smores. My sweet 4th born is turning 5 tomorrow and asked if we could make a campfire so he could have smores for his birthday. I was heartbroken to tell him no since his birthday wish list was so simple and humble. Bam! Here’s the perfect solution. Running out 1st thing in the morn to get the supplies. Thank you for helping make one little guy’s b-day extra special.
What a fun Kabob, we will love this one! Thanks so much for sharing this awesome recipe with us at Full Plate Thursday!

What a great idea! We love s’mores but they are sooo messy and hard to eat. I like your way much better.
Also, down here in the southeast, our ac’s are working themselves to death. Super hot lately with lots of humidity. So we’re not lighting any fires, either! lol
Thanks for sharing. 🙂
These look soooo good… and s’mores are my favorite! Can’t wait to give them a try!
My kids love these! Thank you so much for sharing your recipe with us at Brag About It! Perfect timing for family gatherings!

What a great recipe idea! It gets pretty hot and sticky here from July through September, so finding fun ways to enjoy s’mores without a campfire is high on my list! Love this cool treat- thanks for sharing! #client
Yum! I’m in favor of pretty much anything smore-related. And these sound so refreshing. It’s been in the 90s here, so I’m always on the hunt for refreshing little treats.
