I’ve had a couple of conversations with friends lately about How to Make Perfect French Toast! French Toast is not complicated in any way shape or form. Don’t be intimidated! I’ve got this simple tutorial to show you this very simple secret to making perfect french toast!! How to Make the Perfect French Toast
By the way You can use any kind of bread you like…my family prefers the thick white french bread…use what your family likes!
- 5 eggs
- 2/3 Cup Milk (optional)
- 1/2 tsp . Vanilla ~ I love this Vanilla
- Cinnamon ~ optional
- Bread of your choice
Thoroughly mix together the 5 eggs and 2/3 cup milk in a shallow bowl..like you were making scrambled eggs.
You can also add a 1/2 tsp. vanilla for a yummy flavor!
Sprinkle with Cinnamon and then cook in skillet until browned on each side.
I like to sprinkle Cinnamon on mine.
So that’s it! You can cook up tons of this and flash freeze (simply means lay the french toast out on a cookie sheet and freeze. Then put them into a freezer bag and they won’t stick together!) Perfect for busy mornings!
You can even make little French Toast Sticks and freeze for the little ones to dip..that’s what my Grandson likes to do!
Psst..I use a Pizza Cutter to cut up the French Toast into strips 🙂 Makes it so much easier and quick than just using a knife!
You can make perfect toast with this one simple secret!
- 5 eggs
- 2/3 Cup Milk optional
- 1/2 tsp . Vanilla
Mix together eggs, milk and vanilla in a shallow bowl
Once you have done that and your pan is heated, drop bread into bowl and QUICKLY coat both sides of the bread with egg mixture, then quickly add to your heated pan.
If you do not coat QUICKLY..your bread will become soggy!
Sprinkle with Cinnamon if you like
Then cook in skillet until browned on each side.
