As a mom of many, dinner around the table is so important to our family. It is a time to discuss things together, enjoy a meal, and strengthen our family nucleus.
The only way I get dinner on the table is if I meal plan. Otherwise, there is chaos and soon the clock strikes six and I am scurrying to prepare a meal, which sometimes results in just eating out.
My free printable meal planner will help families everywhere get organized when preparing dinner.
I love this one that is themed perfectly for Fall and Autumn. You can even laminate it and use it for weeks and weeks!
Many families struggle with meal planning. Really, I think we make it so much harder than it needs to be.
I can prepare my meal plan for the week in 30 minutes or less. Sometimes in as little as 15 minutes. Writing it down, and posting it on the fridge, keeps me accountable for the week. It also allows my family to see what they can expect for the week.
By having my meal plan mapped out, I now can prepare my grocery list and head to the store. Grocery lists are so important! Otherwise we end up over-spending (because we buy things we don’t need) or we have to make trips back to the store for things we have forgotten.
Meal planning really is what helped me get through the days of the trenches when I had a brand new baby, twins who were 3, an 8 year old and a 10 year old. Oh, and a hungry husband. Those were some chaotic times.
Still, as everyone has gotten older, the baby is now 5 years old, I rely heavily on meal planning. And when I fail to make a plan, I find us relying on drive thru far more than we can afford.
