One way that I make my life easier for clean up is to use Slow Cooker Liners! Simply place them in the Crockpot and BOOM ~ remove and throw away when you are done!  There are different sizes for different crockpots too.

Then Add your pre cooked Chicken.

Add water and then stir.

Cover and cook on LOW for 3 hours.  Of course this time could vary depending on how your slow cooker cooks, but 3 hours should be about right.

This is NOT AN ALL DAY Slow Cooker recipe.  The Tortellini cooks too fast for that.  This recipe is meant for those busy days when you have to be out of the house the few hours before dinner but want to come home to a hearty meal.

Add Cheese 10 ~ 15 minutes before serving so the cheese melts and is all ooey gooey yummy!

  1. Do you think this could be made ahead and frozen?

    1. Hi Krista! If you wanted to make this for a freezer meal, I would totally skip the crockpot. I would use a freezable container and then pour your tortellini into it, add your sauce, top with cheese, cover and freeze. Boom you are done. For cooking that I would cook at 375 degrees for about 30 min. Check the doneness. OH and leave the foil on while cooking or cheese will burn. Hope this helps!
