Right before Easter I got sick and so our family gathering was postponed. Ooooh how I hated to do that, as it’s so hard to get everyone together in one place all at the same time! Boo! Anyway, we were able to re set a date and had so much fun! I wanted to make everything extra special, so I created a fun How to Make Slushy Bar for Kids!
I’ve since discovered TONS of different flavors and syrups for our Slushy Bars! I’ve added those to the list of ingredients so you can see what will fit your families needs best too!

How to Make a Slushy Bar for Kids
First Gather Your Supplies:
- Cute Straws
- Mason Jars or any fun drinking cups
Ingredients:
- Crushed Ice/shaved ice
- 1/4 cup or less Kool-Aid Easy Mix ~ this was easy and delish.
- Hawaiian Shaved Ice Flavoring ~ but this was even tastier!
- Time for Treats ~ this was pretty good but very sweet!
Directions:
In this recipe we use a Ninja Blender to crush our ice. There are actual Slushy Makers that you can purchase on Amazon, but for us this works fine.
Ok on with the Recipe…
For your Slushy Bar set out different flavors or syrups, flavorings, cups and straws…Help the little ones but let the bigger kids make their own. Let them experiment with different flavors…because they will!Â
If you have not bought crushed ice, simply put ice cubes into a blender
Only crush as many ice cubes in your blender as it can handle. Kids can wait. You don’t want to ruin your blender.
Spoon crushed ice into a cup…make it as fine or crunchy as you like.
Pack the ice down because when you pour the Kool-Aid Easy Mix in, it will melt a tiny bit.Â
Just a heads up…these Kool-Aid Easy Mix bottles are not the little tiny ones, they are 18.2 fluid oz.! Perfect for a Slushy Bar.Â
That is it for the Slushy Bar! Oh so easy and yet a big hit!
