4th of July is just around the corner! Can you believe that?  We just finished up Basketball for the school year..except some practices during the summer, but for us, Summer is officially here!   Since we are now gearing up for the 4th of July, I’m truly privileged to bring you this fun Red White and Blue 4th of July Fruit Juice Drink to help you #KoolOff this Summer. This is just one of many 4th of July recipes and crafts I’ve made the last few years.

#KoolOff 4th of July Fruit Juice Splash We have been so blessed to live in a really beautiful little community.  Our community is on a lake and it is so fun in the Summer around here!

The kids spend their lazy days of summer around the lake swimming and doing any and every water sporty thing they can get their hands on.  Living in a lake community means beach volleyball, beautiful sunrises, farmers markets, lakeside concerts…

I could go on and on… Sometimes you forget how blessed you are until you really sit down and think about it!

Every year our community puts on it’s own fireworks show over the lake on the 4th of July.  It’s a fun and festive time around here!  Our house is not quite close enough to the lake to watch the fireworks.

So we drive our 5 minutes away and stake our claim early in the evening to sit, relax and wait for the fireworks to begin…and of course you have to have FOOD and DRINKS!   I mean it’s the 4th of July!

Today I created this fun Fruit Juice Splash with Kool-Aid Fruit Juice Drink and some soda.  It was so easy and festive and you could very easily carry these 3 simple ingredients down to the beach  and make it right there.  I’ll show you how I made this…

4th of July Fruit Juice Splash

Ingredients:

  • 96 oz. Tropical Punch Kool-Aid Fruit Juice Drink
  • 6 pack of Kool-Aid Bursts – Berry Blue
  • Clear Diet Soda – your choice!
  • Ice Cubes

Directions:

Put your ice cubes into either your cup or a pitcher.  Then pour any amount of the Tropical Punch over the ice cubes. #KoolOff 4th of July Fruit Juice Splash #shop Then slooowly poor the Berry Blue Kool-Aid Bursts OVER the ice, this keeps it from mixing up with the first juice.  Again add as much as you like. #KoolOff 4th of July Fruit Juice Splash #shop Then add your clear soda over the ice…and that’s it! #KoolOff 4th of July Kool-Aid Fruit Juice Splash Super easy and fun! My kids loved this fun little layered fruit juice drink!  My other daughter took a picture and tweeted and instagramed, she was so impressed, and let me tell you..it’s hard to impress a 15 1/2 year old with a drink! Winking smile Sarah Kool-Aid #KoolOff

Fun, Festive and Yummy!! The other fun thing I made was Sno Cones!  Another fun treat!

Kool-Aid Fruit Juice Sno Cones

Fill your Food Processer with ice and crush.  Fill a cup with crushed ice.  Then add Kool-Aid Fruit Drink..any flavor!  We used little squeeze bottles for ease of applying fruit juice.

The 96 oz. bottles make it super easy to take to the beach and I really think you could crush a ton of ice just before you went to the beach and put it into a cooler.  If you had the sno cones right away, I think it would work great!  #KoolOff with Kool-Aid Sno Cones This is a great project for kids because you can fill up  little squeeze bottles and then they can do their own flavors…and Kool-Aid has some great flavors.

I’m so looking forward to some down time this Summer..sitting at the beach, watching my Grandkids splash around in the water…awww it’s finally Summer…

Enjoy! n
