Are you looking for a new way to fit fish into your diet?  Well I’m going to share with you a wonderful Crunchy Oriental Tuna Salad today BUT first I want to tell you about a deelish new Tuna brand that I have the honor of tasting and creating a recipe for.  It’s called Ocean Naturals.  I LOVE creating healthy salad recipes!

What makes Ocean Naturals stand out among other Tunas?  I mean aren’t all Tuna’s created alike?  LOL NO!  Ocean Naturals Tuna is “wild caught”.  So what does that mean?  It means that the tuna was caught out in the ocean where it naturally lives and eats and grows…you know..naturally.   Where as “farm raised”  may sound good, but actually it is a farm where fish are raised and sometimes chemicals and overcrowding and “possible” diseases can be prevalent.  I’ll take fresh and natural thank you!

We all want to make changes that promote a healthy life style while at the same time caring for the planet and our families..the Ocean Naturals motto: Good, Good for You and Good for the Planet!

The other thing we all know…We NEED to eat fish!  Fish contains all of those needed Omega 3 fatty acids that are good for you!  Fish is packed with high quality proteins and promotes healthy hearts while benefiting children’s growth and development  It’s a fact!  With my kids so active.. I know I’ve said before..I’m a bit obsessed with my kids eating healthy so I love that I can get some fish into there diets.

I’m afraid that I cannot always afford the higher priced fish, such as Salmon and Cod…even here in the Pacific Northwest the cost is high..so Tuna is an excellent and more affordable choice for our family.

With that said…I like to serve it up in lots of healthy and different ways… A couple of my family members don’t like Tuna UNLESS I jazz it up…such as with this deeelish recipe!  Even my picky eaters love this.

This salad serves 2 good sized salads or 4 small.  You can totally double, triple..ect. this recipe to make a bigger batch.
