I so love to have my kids home in the Summer.  I miss them during the school year because between school, sports and friends..it can be a very long day without seeing them until late in the evening.   Now that my kids are teens, we spend a lot of our Summer days running them around..EVERYWHERE!

They run us ragged!  I’m always so happy that they are having so much fun because they work so very hard during the school year.

AND…

I can tell you that they have NO INTEREST in returning to school at this point!

BUT…

My husband and I are ready for a little rest, so we thought we’d throw our own little Back to School Pizza Party with Jack’s Pizza .. you know. sort of a surprise party!  Oh ya..it was 90 degrees out and the kids were all gone..as usual.  We really needed #FoodMadeSimple, so we got this brilliant idea…

Oh I know, a picture is worth a million words and yes I know that we are a little nuts!  My hubs and I had a totally relaxing evening just waiting for the kids to come home from a day at the beach…to surprise them.   Boy were they surprised.  I chose to take pictures rather than video tape them…umm just in case.  Winking smile

In the end, they thought it was pretty funny and enjoyed some pizza with us…we saved them a little. Smile

I have a few tips for cooking Frozen Pizza on the grill:

First make sure your burners are on low.

After you have heated the grilled up to about 400 degrees, slip the frozen pizza onto the grill.

I always save my round discs so that I can put the pizza back on them when they are done cooking.

Now close the lid and cook!

You need to rotate the pizza after about 7 minutes.

My biggest suggestion is to turn off the grill shortly after you rotate.  Then let it continue to cook about 5-7 min.  It really depends on how hot your grill gets.  Then slip the cooked pizza back onto the cardboard disk!

Then eat!! YUM, YUM!  No dirty dishes at all!  This was great for a 90 degree day!  Whoosh!

The kids will be ready to go back to school in a couple weeks but for now..the combination of 90 degree weather and living in a lake community…well let’s just say they don’t want us ruining their boating, tubing, swimming days with the thought of back to school! Yet…. LOL

I bought my Jacks Pizza at Walmart..of course!
