Thank you for joining for Day 7 of 10 days of Proverbs 31:25 She can laugh at the days to come.
Proverbs 17:22 “A joyful heart is good medicine, But a broken spirit dries up the bones.”
Much research has been done on the effects of laughter on our health. Among just a few of these benefits are that laughter relieves stress, supports the immune system and increases pain tolerance.
Those who carry around the weight of the world, the weight of past hurts and bitterness and who walk around with criticism and anger in their hearts will not live a very long fruitful life.
14 years ago my sister died of an incurable disease . I loved her so dearly, but it was very hard to be around her because she was a very bitter, angry person. She could not forgive all of the hurts that we had from our past. I am convinced today that one of reasons that she did not live long after her diagnosis was that she did not have a “joyful heart”.
Not that she would not have died anyway..but her life could have been prolonged I’m sure with less heartache from this life…if she could have just let go. I’m very thankful that today she dances with our Savior in heaven. That she is free from the burdens of this life and that she has learned how to laugh and be satisfied with the only One that can truly satisfy our souls.
The thing is we can have this joy and peace today..if we will choose.
