Power Freak–How It Glorifies God

Do you sometimes wonder what this life is all about?  Why you were even put on this earth?  What your purpose is?  It’s really very simple..You were Created to Glorify God…to be a Power Freak

  Eph 1:4  “For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight”

  Eph 1:11-12  “In him we were also chosen having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will,   in order that we,  who were the first to hope in Christ,   might be for the praise of his glory.”   Bold mine

Don’t you just love that HE chose YOU!  This is oh so true! 

You know I don’t feel like I live the perfect Godly life.  Sometimes I even feel like a failure at it,  but I have learned that I don’t have to live perfectly in order to Glorify God.  No,  in order to Glorify God I must trust that He ALWAYS has my best interest at heart.  It has taken me many years to trust my heavenly Father.  I used to just twist and squirm when hard things would come along.  I would shake my fist at Him..yep I really did that..and say  “this is no fair..I don’t like this!!”   But somehow He would always wrap His loving arms around me like a little girl and tell me  “I’ve got your back Shari”   “Just rest,   One day at a time,   trust me” 

As the years have gone by I have learned not to struggle so much,   to even have peace amidst the storms.  To trust that God has everything under control and that He has given me the Holy Spirit so that I may hear His voice:

John 14:26  “But the Counselor,   the Holy Spirit,   whom the Father will send in my name,   will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you”

Glorifying God can be pretty easy when things are going our way in life,  but what happens when temptation comes or we go through very difficult trials?  We need Power and there is only One True Power Source..the Holy Spirit! 

A life well lived,  pointing to God..even in the hard times..Glorifies Him!

So what does a life well lived,  Glorifying God look like..let me leave you with this last scripture:

Matt 11:28-30  “Come to me,  all you who are weary and burdened,  and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,  for I am gentle and humble in heart,  and you will find rest for your weary souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”  Bold mine
