Homemade Baked Chicken Strips Recipe
Yesterday I was out of any kind of quick snack goodies that I may have made ahead and frozen..so I made up this quick Homemade Baked Chicken Strips recipe for lunch. These are so quick and so easy, better than store bought chicken strips! I make simple chicken nuggets too…simply cut into smaller pieces before you dip and bake! I made these awmazing homemade Easy Crispy Baked BBQ Chicken Fingers a while back too! Oh so YUM!
These are also very freezer friendly, so you can make up a bunch and freeze for later or other cooked chicken recipes!
Homemade Baked Chicken Strips Recipe
Ingredients:
- Frozen or Fresh Chicken Tenderloins OR you can use Chicken Breast and cut into strips
- 1 cup Italian Seasoned Breadcrumbs (if you want super crispy use Panko Crumbs)
- 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese
- Low Sodium Garlic salt such as Johnny’s Great Caesar Garlic Spread and Seasoning ( I like this because it’s low sodium)
- Cooking Oil Spray..I’ll show you why…
Directions:
Unthaw Chicken Tenderloins if using frozen..
Put Italian Seasoned Breadcrumbs and Parmesan on a plate and coat each tenderloin with it…
Spray a Baking Sheet with Cooking Oil and put Chicken Strips on it.
Now…
Lightly spray the Chicken with the cooking oil and lightly sprinkle Garlic Salt on. This creates a nice Crispy outside.
Bake at…425 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
That’s it..I made a Chicken Caesar Salad with 1 strip for my lunch! YUM!
You can also use a variety of Coatings to get different types of crispy crusts:
- Cornflakes
- Panko
- Different kinds of Potato Chips
Experiment and….
Enjoy!
