So who was he and how did St. Patrick’s Day come about?
I’ll give you the super short version in my very own words and then there are some super cute Biblical St. Patrick’s Day Crafts and Ideas you might want to try with your kids or grandkids.
St. Patrick came from a predominantly Christian background. His Father and Grandfather were both in leadership in the church. When Patrick was young, he was kidnapped and during his time of captivity, he came to know the Lord. He felt the Lord was speaking to him to escape and go back and share his faith with his Irish people.
It is said that St. Patrick used the 3 leaf clover to explain the Trinity. That’s all there is to it…although I’m sure his ministry was much more exciting than that!

I have a friend who grew up Catholic that taught us the story of St. Patrick and all his work in Ireland. His faith was amazing!
I did not know that. Actually St. Patrick’s Day has never been a “holiday” that I have learned much about well other than its Irish decent. Thanks for sharing!!
