I Act Like a Nut to Save My Sanity!
Ok..give me a break…Seven kids later…dozens of family crisis…watching the news…listening and praying with friends as they share their deepest heartaches and your heart breaks with theirs…Day in and day out…Day out and day in…stinky sports laundry…dirty dishes…menu planning a menu that someone will inevitably say “Yuk..I’m not eating that? What is it anyway!”
I act like a nut to save my sanity!
I dance around the house…I dance at the department and grocery stores…I sing as loud as I can when driving in my car and pretend I’m a singer…I make up songs..umm daily..I hide outside my kids door and scare them when they come out…I sneak in when my kids are face timing and pretend I’m having gas…
I act like a nut to save my sanity!
Because God is my refuge and not man…I can joyfully be Shari. Am I foolish..sometimes..Am I going off the deep end…most definitely!
Join me for a minute if you will and let yourself act like a nut..because the next chore, crisis, job is just around the corner…so enjoy EVERY minute of the day..don’t wait for it to be perfect…..it never will be…

If God were the only one watching….I would be content too….
“Then David danced before the Lord with all his might: and David was wearing a linen ephod.” 2 Samuel 6:14
His wife was embarrassed and ashamed of David’s behavior for dancing in front of everyone..especially the maidservants….and so he said …
“And I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight. But as for the maidservants of whom you have spoken, by them I will be held in honor.” 2 Samuel 6:22
It really is ok to have the joy that only God can give…to act like a nut as you glorify Him..the One and only who knows our heart…
