God is in The Everyday

When I first started my blog I would post these funny random things.  You know, poems and such.  It’s been quite a while since I’ve done anything too terrible random, so don’t you think today is a good day for that!?  LOL

I’ve been going through a bit of a difficult time.  My daughter decided to be a stay at home Mom and fired me!  Just kidding..sort of.  What a beautiful thing that she has given up her long time career to stay home with her babies.  As for me, well that’s a huge part of our income gone!

I’ve been trusting God, walking in faith (most of the time, I’m not perfect you know) and trying ever so hard to listen to His voice regarding finding a job and some other opportunities that have been coming my way.  The other morning when I was spending my quiet time with Him, I was crying and listening….

No doors seemed to be opening, for a traditional job that is.  I LOVE writing, it’s my passion, so I would love to go pro as a Blogger/Writer.  Slooowly the doors have been opening, I question sometimes if I’m walking through the right one…I don’t want to be out of His will.

Then He speaks to my heart…

God is in The Everyday

Every day when I open my eyes

and start the day a new

You’re waiting there so patiently

to direct my every move.

But I must listen carefully

the direction of the day

Because if I don’t, I might surely miss

your heart, your path, your way.

Reveal yourself to me Oh Lord,

my eyes are open wide.

My heart is listening for your call,

in you I will abide.

I’m humbled by my Fathers hand

who leads me every day

He won’t let go, I surely know

to let me go astray.

I see you in the little things

and in the big things too.

You’re in my kitchen, car and store

and Grandkids Peek a Boo!

The place I see you most of all

and learn what’s right from wrong,

is in your Holy Inspired Word

My Spirit is made strong

So let me wake with each new day

my spirit and body refreshed.

To do your will and serve you more

and a heart that says “oh yes!”

Yes You are in the Every day

inviting me to be

a little part of your big plan

your loving ministry.

Isaiah 30:21  “Whether you turn to the right or to the left your ears will hear a voice behind you. “This is the way, walk in it.”

So there you have it, my randomness for the day.
