Easy Pie Crust Pop Tarts Recipe
About a month ago I was at the grocery store and low and behold I found an amazing sale! They were selling Pie Crust for 50 cents a package! Yes you read that right! My mind was reeling with all the yummy recipes I could make these pie crusts, like these fun and easy Pie Crust Pop Tarts Recipe! I LOVE to make homemade snack recipes for the kids!
Well I can’t resist a good sale like that, and although I usually make my own Pie Crust, I am not at all opposed to store bought. It comes in handy for making all kinds of fun stuff…quick and easy. I bought 4 packages, for well, whatever..you can’t beat 50 cents for a package!
I brought it home and threw it into my freezer and I’m just now starting to think up some fun and easy things to do with it..like..
Pie Crust Pop Tarts
Ingredients:
- 2 Pie Crusts
- Jam/Jelly of your liking
- Cinnamon and Sugar – Optional
Directions:
Lay out one of the Pie Crusts and spread Jelly evenly spaced around the top….
Then carefully lay the next Pie Crust on top
You can see the little mounds of jelly underneath the top Pie Crust…so us a cookie cutter or even a pizza cutter (make square then) to cut around each mound. I used my Pampered Chef Cut N Seal but it is totally not necessary…just easy

Now transfer to a cookie sheet and poke a few little holes in the top for ventilation…very tiny holes or jam will bubble through.
If you like you can sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. OR you could of course frost after cooking and let cool.
Now pop into the oven for about 10 – 15 mins at 375 degrees. Watch carefully to make sure they don’t get too dark…
Then let cool and enjoy! Oh Yummm! These turned out deelish!
Of course you can always make your own Pie Crust for the the Pie Crust Pop Tarts! Whatever you choose..enjoy!

So very easy with that brilliant little Pampered Chef tool – how do they come up with so many random trinket-y type things that really do just MAKE a recipe shine?? Thanks for sharing the idea 🙂 {Visiting from Hearts for Home Linkup}
These look wonderful! You make it look easier than I have pictured, also……… I even think we had one of the pampered chef things to do this, but didn’t use it so sold it at a garage sale 🙁 …… I love this idea, and it would be great using some of the fruit only jams also, to reduce the sugar…………anyway, they would be much tastier and better for us. Thank you for posting this. Something we will have to try! 🙂
These look so beautiful! And sound so delicious, too!
