You know me I’m a bit of a meal planning fanatic!  You also know that I LOVE to make a ton of my meals from scratch, buy in bulk and freezer cook. However I’m also adamant about making sure that my meal planning includes some pre prepared foods…healthy and tasty ones!

Why?  Because who wants to cook up a hearty healthy full meal 7 days a week.  I’ve cooked for sooo many years for a big family, that I like to have something that is easy once or twice a week.

The other reason is….my life!  This is a typical evening at my house….

I’ve got meat or a big casserole thawing and after school one daughter comes home the other says she’s not coming home for dinner.  Umm ok…I can work with that.

THEN the daughter that came home runs into the kitchen saying, I’m leaving to do homework at so and so’s and so I’m not staying home for dinner.  Are you following?

WHOOSH!

Ok so I decide that I will save the meat or casserole for when its more than my husband and I for dinner.  So maybe just maybe the two of us can have some quiet and a nice dinner alone.

Enter pre prepared frozen foods.  P.F. Chang’s!  YUM!  Definitely as good as fresh.  A fun but relaxing way to indulge in some yummy Asian cuisine is by having a simple Wok Wednesday.  There are so many different items on the menu that you can mix and match to have a genuine Chinese dinner experience.

P.F. Chang’s is having a Wok Wednesday Kit Giveaway!  To enter, readers must leave a comment sharing their #WokWednesday celebration ideas.  What would you do on #WokWednesday?

The kit includes: Branded Woks, Chopsticks, Tableware and more!.

P.F. Chang’s is DEFINITELY one of those pre prepared frozen foods that I keep on hand for nights when I don’t want to cook, or like the above…life gets a little crazy.  There are many things I love about P.F. Chang’s, these are the tops:

  • Even though the package is a 2 serving package…it can easily feed 3-4.  Not HUGE portions, but nice portions.
  • The taste is sooo authentic that it’s like having real Chinese food at home…without the cost.
  • It’s super quick and super easy to fix

All you do to fix is to pour the contents in a skillet (the meals) and cook for 10 min. Egg rolls in oven for 15 min..we like crispy and rice in microwave for 3 min.

Boom it’s ready!  Sooo easy and so deelish.  So I set up a nice table for my husband and I…even with a little candle light, anticipating a quiet and yummy dinner.

My hubs and I sit down for some quiet meal time…that means, no drama…LOL girls! Awww so nice.

Then all of a sudden my daughter that didn’t come home from school come walking through the door… “what’s for dinner?!”  What? “I thought you were eating at your friends.”

So that’s how it goes at my house…several times a week.  They are just getting so old, that it’s hard to keep up with them.

She’s see the food on the table and says “oh yum!”

She proceeds to plop herself down in my seat and starts eating… I love my children!

This is exactly why I love P.F. Chang’s, because there was more than enough food for my daughter and even enough for when my older daughter came home and wanted to know if we saved her any dinner.  LOL Oh brother.

Some fun ways to add to your dining experience would be to add some Green Tea and chop sticks!

When you are meal planning always have some kind of pre prepared frozen foods on hand.  Even if you love to cook, there are always things that come up.  It takes the pressure off of making every single thing from scratch too.

Many pre prepared foods are on sale with the holiday season coming up, so make a list of your favorite frozen foods and keep your eyes open for coupons and sales.  They also go on sale in March…because it’s frozen food month!

You can find P.F. Chang’s in your local grocery stores, nationwide! So make sure that it’s part of your meal plan!
