What if I’m Just an Ordinary Girl?
What if I’m an ordinary girl? Then what? Can I bring glory to the Lord? Do I have what it takes to bring up Godly children or hold a job that means something…anything in this world?
If you have hopped over from our Simmering Crockpot Series then you are in the right place, because we are simmering in God’s word and his ways too! We are adding spiritual ingredients and letting it simmer in our hearts all week long…
I hope you will Join the Feast!
I’m usually a pretty up person…but as a person that is in contact with A LOT people (just like you!), online and offline as a blogger, Mom, friend etc. I sometimes start to compare myself to others.

- I start comparing my insides with other peoples outsides.
- I start asking myself, why can’t I do that? Why don’t I do that? Why is that person so creative and I’m not?
- I start doubting who I am and what I was created for!
The truth of the matter is…I’m just an ordinary girl doin ordinary things. Oh I’m VERY creative, but I don’t have time to implement every creative idea I have. I can barely get one project done with how busy my life is.
I simply cannot put my value and worth into WHAT I do!
I am who God says I am, and that’s pretty ok.
Ordinary is GOOD! pssst…because really we are all Extraordinary! Does that even make sense!
Well I get to that next week…but since I promised to make these simmering devotions SHORT…I’ll save that part.
For today, I pray you will rest in the fact that it’s perfectly ok to be ordinary. Whoosh! That’s a relief isn’t it?!
I don’t have to be anybody but me, no pressure, no phony bologna, just me….
Rest in being YOU today, just ordinary….
Because guess what…
God uses ordinary people, to get his ordinary work done, which is really not ordinary at all….It’s EXTRAORDINARY!
The below printable says who you are in Christ and the scripture you can reference to find it in the Bible. Take the week to think about them and REST in being just ordinary…no pressures, just rest.
Blessings!! v
