I have a wonderful teenage boy. He is 15 years old. But I must confess, getting into his head is quite a task. He doesn’t talk much and he is very shy. My son is in Cross Country Running for his High School. It’s a pretty grueling sport.
Well yesterday when he got home from Cross Country he asked me if he could walk with his friend over to his friends house. Well his friend lives about 3 miles away, so I said “how about if I give you a ride since you just ran about 5 miles.” He wanted to walk. So I said “How can you do that after running so much?” His answer was simple, “Cuz we’re Men” Oh ok.
Later that very day, he wanted to know if I would bring his bike to him because he and some of his friends were going to ride around town. (we live in a fairly small rural town) Again I asked “How can you do that after running and walking so much?” His simple answer to me “That’s just how we do it”
“Cuz we’re men” and “That’s just how we do it” Simple answers to complex questions:) That’s what Teenage Boys are about!
