I am a proud member of the Collective Bias® Social Fabric® Community. I have been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias and their client. The opinions and story are my own for a more balanced lifestyle through weight loss.
I’ve hemmed and hawed about committing to this this week. I know I’ve talked about this several times, but honestly talking about something and actually DOING something about it are two different things! One requires no work at all and the other requires hard work, dedication, accountability and grace.
Oh were you wondering what I’m talking about? Weight loss! Living a more balanced lifestyle. Yep, told you that I’ve talked about it before…
So what am I doing different this time?
Well this time I am going to hold myself accountable on my blog. (My kids told me to do that last year) HA! Every Monday you will find my new weight on my sidebar…umm well I hope! LOL If you click on that weight loss button it will take you to a page that will have a very short post on what I ate, what I did for exercise and a little bit of other info regarding my Weight Loss for that week..maybe even some great low cal recipes I used that week! If you want to you can join me too!
This is going to be a big commitment but I have GOT to get on the band wagon and get my physical health under control and have a more balanced lifestyle in the weight department. I am 30-35 lbs. overweight right now and it’s really not acceptable. I go to bed tired, I get up tired and I just plain don’t feel good.
I need to be able to keep up with my 3 teens, my Grandkids, my Blogging and all the other fun things that life has to offer!
I refuse to beat myself up about how I let my weight get so high. I’m going to look forward and know that with God all things are possible!
I’m excited to be partnering with Nestle and trying out some of their NEW and healthy Lean Cuisine Meals and Snacks to help me achieve my goals! YUM! I bought: Skinny Cow Devine Candy, Sesame Chicken from the LEAN CUISINE® Culinary Collection, Macaroni and Cheese from the LEAN CUISINE® Simple Favorites™, Turkey Sausage English Muffin from the LEAN CUISINE® Morning Collection™, Creamy Balsamic Chicken from the LEAN CUISINE® Wrap ADDITIONS™ and CoffeeMate Sugar Free French Vanilla.
Although these are not diet foods but I have found that lean cuisine is a healthier choice.
I looked high and low for the 3 Cheese and Spinach Pretzel bites for a yummy snack, but alas with our Seahawks in the playoffs…all the shelves are bare of tons of snack foods! They must be good because they were bought out!
Now you all know that I make most all of our food from scratch, but that’s mostly for our whole family…some days when we are really busy and my kids are coming and going or at their friends or at school and sports, that leaves me with just having a simple meal for me. Those are the times that it is really easy for me to snack on junk food because I don’t have anyone counting on me to feed them a healthy meal.
So why is it so hard to fix myself something healthy? I’ve simply gotten out of the habit. I’ve lost 30 lbs. before and it really takes a lot of focus. It takes a balanced lifestyle of healthy foods and exercise…ummm..WORK!
I love that I can have these yummy frozen foods on hand for a quick meal without a lot of prep. You are going to love all of the new and deelish meals!
Today I tried out the Creamy Balsamic Chicken from the LEAN CUISINE® Wrap ADDITIONS™….oooohhhh YUM!
It was so simple and deelish to make…tons of healthy, fresh veggies piled high and just the right portion amount of chicken!
4 minutes and I had a nice filling meal. I will definitely be buying this for those days when I am alone and need to be good to ME!
Now I’m not one to completely deprive myself…I would get so depressed and give up on losing weight if I couldn’t have a little bit of indulgence, sooo for desert I had some YUMMY Skinny Cow Divine Candy! Only 120 calories for a little package of goodies. There are 6 that come in a little pouch, but they are so satisfying you could easily eat 2 and be satisfied and save the rest for later .
Come on…you know you want it!! YUM!
Last but not least…I had to get back to work and so I had a yummy cup of coffee with Sugar Free French Vanilla CoffeeMate… only 15 calories per serving! Yay!!
Well I did it…I committed myself and I’m really looking forward to getting healthy again. I won’t be boring you every week with posts about my weight loss..you will need to click on the sidebar button for info. I’m looking forward to more disciplined eating habits because I know that the discipline will spill over into other areas in my life.
Have a blessed day and I hope you will join me if this is an area that you need to work on to!
