I have almost always taken my own photos for my blog posts, mainly because I take step by step instructions of my recipes. Plus when I started blogging I found it very hard to find free stock image resources that I could use for my blog. Lately, with my Virtual Assistant business, I have been doing some content writing for other websites. Not all of the content is necessarily something that I really take photos of, so I’ve had to go in search of some great high quality FREE stock images on the internet.
Visual content is everything these days, everything! So make sure your blog posts have very high quality and eye catching images.
I’ve run across some great image resources and wanted to share them with you! Some must be new because I haven’t seem them around, but oh my they have lovely pics. I’m not going to do a big write up on each one because…Umm they are what they are…
Free Stock Image Resources!
Open Clip Art ~ This is just clip art, but I like to use this on occasion for making a printable or two
Animation Factory ~ These are free animations that you can use on your blog. Fun!
Freely Photos
All of these websites are very clear that you may use these pictures to hearts content, so you don’t have to worry about copyright and all that legal stuff.
Even if you don’t have a blog/website, you can use these for lots of other projects and so can your kids!
Enjoy and be blessed today!
linking up at these awesome parties!

Thanks for this list! I’m always looking for general use photos, people can be very secure about their photos of random boxes and buildings and stuff!

What a great resource! It’s really hard to find good photos without paying an arm and a leg. Thank you so much for sharing this at the “That’s How We Roll Thursday” link party.

Hi Shari,
Your post has been really useful. I have just recently started my own blog and the hardest thing I have found is not writing the content but to find nice pictures to go with it. Everybody likes amazing pictures but it is hard to find ones that aren’t copyrighted. The ones that aren’t are using terrible anyways and to get the better ones you have to pay for them. So many links to go at…..thank you for sharing them!
