  2. I think sharing a common faith can be very helpful. Also communicating through letters, phone, email, and skype whenever possible.

    • Thanks Brianne! Yes those are all great ideas. I really like that they have skype these days..especially for families that have to be apart. Thanks for stopping by! Blessings to you!

  3. awesome!

  4. This is a great program! My husband is a Veteran and we also have family and friends who are currently serving. One thing that I took from my grandparents…writing love letters helps! I think that sending soldiers and their spouses paper/cards and postage is a gift that has a lasting impact for generations to come!

    • I LOVE that Carla! What a wonderful idea..LoveLetters..I don’t know how many people really think to do that these days. Thanks so much for stopping by! Blessings to you and thank you to you and your husband for the sacrifices you have made for me and my family to live free!

  5. Military & other marriages could be helped tremendously by the church’s involvement in weekly helping crews! Just something as simple as having others help out with the chores is a stress reducer!

    • That is sooo true Cheri! Even to have a teen come over and help with kids..like being a Mothers helper can be of such great help..the church definately should be honoring our soldiers as much as possible by helping to take care of their families while they are away taking care of us :) Thanks so much for stopping by! Blessings!

  6. What a great thing to support! My best friend and her husband (who I grew up next to…) came right to mind on this. He served over sees a year or so ago and missed his middle child’s birthday and almost was going to be overseas for his youngest’s b.day this year.
Love to support those military men and women!

I think the key to any marriage is communication :O) it can be harder as a military spouse but finding little ways like letters and facebook posts can really help.

    • I totally agree Melissa..communication is sooo important and any way that that can be done is so important :) Thanks for stopping by! Blessings to you!

  10. Thanks for sharing about the program!

  11. Hi! I’m from iblog4me “Critique my blog” :) I think you have a great blog going here!! My advice would be that your blog looks too busy when you first visit it. I would get rid of the ads on the sidebars, or move them to the bottom. When I visit blogs, I don’t want to be bombarded with advertisements as the first thing I see. Also I think you should make less links across the top & only focus on the ones you really want people to visit most, then maybe make a page of other links that can be accessed through one link such as “more favorites” or something. Also, the rest of the content on your sidebars could use organization, like put all the buttons together, the following links together, etc. But your main blog content is great & keep up blogging :)

I hope my feedback is helpful!!

    • Hi Linda! I sooo appreciate your Critiquing!! I think it’s busy too! I really need to find time to “clean up my act” LOL :) One of my ads has to be above the fold…however the other doesn’t. I hate my little buttons all over the place too..being a newbie I need to learn how to get those straightened and and doubled up. I have totally given thought to a favorites page or something like that and you have given me the “push” I need! Thank you so much for your honest opinions!
      Blessings!

  12. Wonderful program! Thank for sharing, and great giveaway. Hope I win:)

I think that if two people truly love each other, they can pull through anything. However, it can be tough, especially when the husband (or wife) or overseas or on duty. I guess trying to keep communication open as much as possible is the best thing to do.

  14. I think it would be great to offer Military Marriages more services of free counselling and referrals to support groups, or material on-line that may just be the help a struggling couple needs.

    • Hi Loriag! Yes I totally agree..that’s sort of what this “The Art of Marriage OPS” supports. I believe it’s an awesome Webinar put on by lot’s of church’s. I would hope they would offer lot’s of free counseling for struggling couples along with it. Thanks so much for stopping by!
      Blessings!
