We just love foods that are fast, healthy and deelish…you know that! LOL So I was so excited to try the new Land O’Lakes Sauté Express® Sauté Starter flavors to whip up this easy and deeelish dish!
This recipe is sure to please those picky eaters, with it’s sweet AND savory flavor. Fried Rice with sautéed Fruits and Veggies… My kids LOVED it! They gobbled it all up and asked if we could have it again soon! Ahhh I love to hear those words and this was REALLY quick and easy to make with the Land O’Lakes Sauté Express® Sauté Starter because it already has all the seasonings in it.
Land O’Lakes Sauté Express® Sauté Starter comes in several different flavors:
- Savory Butter and Olive Oil
- Lemon Pepper
- Garlic and Herb
- Italian Herb
The possibilities are endless as to what you can make with these yummy flavors but we are BIG Garlic fans around here so I used the Garlic and Herb Butter to cook up this fun little recipe and MMmm the smell as it cooked…and I loved that I didn’t have to use a Garlic press…just pop it in the frying pan and put the ingredients in and boom it’s done!
Fruit and Savory Fried Rice
- Land O’Lakes Sauté Express® Sauté Starter Garlic and Herb flavor
- 2 cups of cooked Jasmine Rice (you can use any kind of rice, but we love the sweetness of Jasmine)
- 1 cup fresh or canned pineapple
- 1 Firm, Fresh Peach or Nectarine
- 1 Firm but ripe Pear
- 1/2 cup shredded Carrots
- 1/2 cup Frozen Peas
- 2 eggs whisked (to add a little protein)
Cook up your rice if you don’t have any leftovers. Simply put 1 cup rice and 2 cups water in a pan. Cook on a low simmer with a lid on the pan. Simmer until the water is almost gone..turn off the stove and let it sit for about 10 min.
Cut up all your fruit. I like big size fruit, but you can sure cut it to the size that fits your preference.
Heat up your frying pan and melt 1-2 cubes of Land O’Lakes Sauté Express® Garlic and Herb cubes in pan.
Put your more firm fruits and Carrots in first. I put the Pears in last because I cut them thin. Sauté for about 4 min on med to med high heat. Add Pears.
Then add Eggs (for protein), Rice and Frozen Peas…Cook for another 5 min on Med heat.
There you have it… a very simple yet deelish Fruit and Savory Fried Rice. You could use this recipe as a main dish or side dish. I used it as a main dish and it was very filling. You could also add any kind of meat to this. Sauté first then remove and set aside and add again for the last 3 min. or so.
To try out this recipe or create your own you can find Land O’Lakes Sauté Express® Sauté Starter in the butter section with the other butters AND they are offering a great coupon for .75 off of ONE, just for you to try it! I like “off of ONE” coupons
