UGG!…it was one of those days…I was so exhausted..watching kids all day long..my 2 grandsons and another little boy I watch.  My mind was mush..my energy level..well I didn’t have one LOL

Basketball,  school ending…endless end of the school year busyness and activities…

My house was a DISASTER…I just couldn’t seem to keep up with all of the little accidents and messes that day…I secretly prayed that nobody would come over and see the utter chaos…

I hadn’t gotten a shower that day…too early of a morning and I was going to be home all day anyway..so I skipped it..mistake!! :)

Walking out to the mailbox on this beautiful sunny day…the 4 year old raced in front of me saying “I’m going to beat you!”  Normally I give a little run and pretend I’m racing..today..I just laughed and sighed at the same time.. “yes I think you will today!”

I just couldn’t wait for this day to be over so that I could jump into a hot tub and just relax….

I opened my mailbox and there was a box inside…oh this must be something for me to review..I get things all the time…I brought it in and set it on the table..normally I open up boxes right away, it’s kinda like Christmas you know…but I was just too tired…It sort of represented work..so I thought,  I’ll leave it till later.

So that evening my husband says “what’s in the box?”  “I don’t know..” I was busy making dinner.. “I’ll open it after dinner”

After I settled down for the evening..I took the box and opened it up…

Well this looks fun!  What is this?  A crown..bubble bath..a prescription…a book!  A book by Vicki Courtney!!  So I took everything out…and began to read the little note she had hand written…in that note she called me FRIEND!  Friend!!   I love you Vicki..I love friends..even though I don’t get to spend much time with friends..I love them!!

The note read: “The bearer of this crown is entitled to 24 hours of uninterrupted princess time to relax and read a good book”…LOL

The chill pill prescription read…Directions: Draw bubble bath and deadbolt door; take two Chill Pills and read a good book. (hint: Ever After) If Fairy Tale Letdown (FTL) symptoms do not subside..repeat above..LOL LOVE IT!!  I did it too and I wore the crown..which by the way was a real live crown..not a dollar store one!

Vicky has just published her new book..Ever After..life lessons learned in my castle of chaos…

It is wonderfully refreshing and humorous!  In this world of real life…chaos happens.  Sometimes we think..it just shouldn’t be that way..but truly life is messy business.  Vicki has a beautiful way of reminding us and encouraging us to see the beauty in our ordinary lives…

Not our Pinterest lives..but real life..messy, wonderful life!

In her new book Vicky touches on important life lessons..the “real” life lessons that can truly point the way to a “Happily Ever After” life.  She touches on many topics that derail us and steal our happiness as Wives and Moms.  Even touching on the topic of intimacy with our husbands..yep..really!

Some of the other topics covered:

*finances
*being a Proverbs 31 flunkie
*dating your husband
*busyness
*bully moms
*beauty

I love Vicki’s heart and passion to use this book to help the next generation of women to be all that God has created them to be…but not perfectly..

Thank you Vicki of reminding me..on this very MESSY day of mine..that my happily ever after is not in how my house looks..whether I’ve taken a shower or not for the day (although that helps! LOL) but is found in the One who grants happiness to our hearts no matter what season or trial we are in!

I am sure that you enjoyed that wonderful experience at the end of a very long, hard day! That is SO cute of her to put the packages together with the recipient in mind like that. How awesome is that!

I would love to win this book. I think this is a universal struggle for all of us moms. The lesson about letting go of trying to be perfect is being screamed at me from every direction. Do you ever feel like God is really, really trying to get you to “really get” something. This is it for me. Thanks FRIEND. :)

Love this very nice giveaway. Well, real life is well, real. There are, though, those that are very happy with their life and then there are those who make the best of what they have and strive for wishes to come true. The basis for any I think is to trust in the Lord and to realize he is with you. Then-you can have that peace-that inner peace that can only come from God, no matter what your situation.

What a FUN package! How sweet of her! I do sometimes feel that nudge, but fortunately I was raised with strong parents who grew me and supported me in sticking with my morals and ethics and taught me well to love others and myself! :)
