Do you really need to be so “faith filled”? I suspect your audience would be far better served by an honest discussion of your doubts, as faith speaks for itself. Jesus never really described Himself as anything else besides “the Son of Man”. Why do we think we need to be anything more than that?

Now it is true that He is reported to have said, “I and My Father are One”. But the tone of that passage is that He was simply stating a fact, and stating it with as little drama as he would report on his eye color.

      Hi EDW,
I’m sorry that the term “Faith Filled” bothers you so. Perhaps a better term might be Spirit Filled..too late :) The name is already I’m going with it. However my heart and hope are that anyone that stops by my site will get more out of it’s content than the name. Thanks for stopping by and giving your honest opinion.
      Blessings to you!

Faith filled, spirit filled, what’s the difference? Both reek of self-congratulation. Again, Jesus did not seem to feel the need to advertise how “filled with spirit” He was. He just did what He did, and His sanctity spoke for itself.

Proclaiming oneself “filled with faith”, “filled with spirit” etc. actually implies the opposite. The primary motivation that so many people seem to have in “proclaiming the Good News” is to convince themselves of it. The tragedy of all of this is that all of us really DO need to find a faith that works for us, and so few of us have really found it. Fortunately for those who think they’ve found it, God has this wonderful way of offering us “faith examinations”, with the reliability that a good high school algebra teacher gives quizzes.

I would totally disagree with you EDW. It’s perfectly ok to refer to oneself as Spirit Filled or Faith Filled and not be filled with oneself. If you are not happy with my site you are free to move on. Otherwise maybe it would be good for you to stick around and see what it is I really am offering in the way of faith as it refers to the ONE and ONLY God rather than criticising.

Dear Shari, Jesus encouraged us to profess our faith. Mark 11:22&23 Faith(Great-Matthew 8:10 or little-Mustard seed) is our link to God as He stated in Hebrews 11:6. It is not pride to declare our faith, if Jesus dwells in us, then we are full of faith. And we can declare it, BOLDLY too!

    Hi Shari,

Thank you for following be on Blog Frog. I have read your testimony and am so moved by your transparency and honesty. Thank you for being brave enough to share. I wish more of us were honest with the demons we are or have faced. It would make the rest of us feel normal. Looking forward to reading more of your posts.

By the way, your blog is very well put together, and much like the goal I have for mine. But, there is so much to learn about how to format the page. It is taking me a while to figure it all out, like posting things on the right and left columns. What resource did you use to help you learn how to manipulate the blog pages to be exactly how you like them?

    Needing some guidance.

    Thanks, Jana at .
